"I haven't had enough time to truly understand unidentified flying objects, but I will, trust me. I am obsessed with this issue," US Vice President JD Vance told host Benny Johnson with a laugh on 27/3. He was responding to a question about President Donald Trump's executive order issued in February.
The order requires relevant agencies to "identify and release" government documents concerning UFOs and aliens.
"I still have three more years as vice president. I will clarify everything related to the UFO files," Vance added.

President Trump previously stated he issued the order "based on great public interest." The Trump administration's move came the same month former president Barack Obama said aliens "are real," though he had never seen them.
Regarding Obama's statement, Trump told reporters the former president had "disclosed classified information, which he should not have done."
After his statements caused a stir online, Obama clarified his message via an Instagram post. The former US president argued the vastness of the universe makes the possibility of life elsewhere high. However, he noted the distances between star systems are too great, making human visits by aliens unlikely, and he saw no evidence during his term of contact with extraterrestrial civilizations.
In his conversation with Johnson, Vice President Vance offered a religious perspective. "I don't think they are aliens. I believe they are demons," he said, describing this as a Christian understanding of "supernatural entities that often appear in the sky and have strange effects on humans."
Interest in UFOs and related phenomena has surged in recent years. The US government is investigating many reports of aerial objects believed to be "supernatural," amidst concerns that adversaries might be testing advanced military technologies.
In 3/2024, the Pentagon released a report stating there was no evidence that unidentified aerial phenomena were alien technology. Many suspicious cases were actually weather balloons, spy planes, satellites, or other normal activities.
