Channel 12 news channel on 1/10 published a video, filmed from a seat near the cockpit, showing several people screaming in both English and Hebrew. One person said, "he's trying to crash the plane", while others shouted towards the cockpit, "get him out" and urged passengers to "sit down".
After a pause in the video, multiple calls for a doctor could be heard. Shota Musayev, an Israeli dentist, then quickly rushed to the front of the plane; however, the video did not show him providing first aid to anyone.
As the shouts of "sit down" continued, a man asked if there was a backup pilot on the flight and was told "yes".
The video then showed captain Smit Machchhar lying on the floor outside the cockpit, his body covered in blood. Machchhar stated the first officer "attacked many times" and he could still move his injured hand, but could not clench it.
Nearby, the injured first officer, his uniform also stained with blood, was being restrained. "This is the person who wanted to stab the captain", one person said, but quickly corrected, "this is the person who attacked him, not wanted to stab".
The next images were filmed after the plane made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, showing medical personnel attending to captain Machchhar on a lift outside the aircraft door. Those remaining in the cabin asked where the police were; the first officer was then kneeling, head bowed, with his hands tied behind his back.
"People won't let him go", one person said.
"This is a terrorist, do you understand? We need the police", a flydubai flight attendant said. Another replied, "he can't go anywhere, he has to stay here with us".
"He's been in this position for one hour and 40 minutes, it's fine", an Israeli passenger said as the camera focused on the first officer.

The video concludes with Machchhar complaining to medical personnel about his injured hand. Asaf Rajuan, one of the Israeli individuals who helped restrain the first officer, confirmed he sustained "a blow" to the head.
"Someday we'll laugh about this", a voice remarked as the video ended.
It is unclear when the video began recording. Channel 12 released the footage as the investigation into the first officer continues. On 1/10, authorities transferred him from detention in Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for investigation.
Yaniv Hayun, a plumber who participated in storming the cockpit, stated the first officer said, "kill me" in English after being tied up. "That means he failed his mission and wanted to die", Hayun added.
In a video released by the Israeli Government Press Office, Dr. Musayev recounted that the Israeli individuals initially used headphone cords to tie the first officer "to ensure he could not become uncontrolled".
