Electric Motorcycle Options by Price Range in Vietnam

From under 20 million to 50 million VND, consumers have various electric motorcycle options, primarily scooter-style.

In recent years, Vietnam's electric motorcycle market has blossomed with numerous domestic and international brands. Consumers now have many choices to suit their needs, budgets, and preferred styles. Here are some popular electric motorcycle brands currently sold in Vietnam, categorized by price range.

Under 20 Million VND

Electric motorcycles under 20 million VND are suitable for daily commutes and short trips within a few dozen kilometers. In this segment, most electric motorcycles have basic, compact designs, are lightweight, and have a top speed below 50 km/h.

VinFast Mioto.

Pega Aura S+.

A notable budget-friendly option in this segment is the VinFast Motio, launched in early 2025. It has a top speed of 50 km/h, an 80 km range per charge, a 20-liter trunk, and a student-friendly design.

The Yadea Vekoo, launched in June, is another reasonable budget choice. This compact scooter has a top speed of 38 km/h, a 65 km range, and costs 15 million VND. While its range and motor power are lower than the Motio's, the Vekoo offers smart features through a smartphone app, allowing parents to monitor their children's journeys.

Another recent budget-friendly model is the Pega Aura S+, with a top speed of 45 km/h, a 100 km range, and a price of 16.5 million VND. This Vietnamese brand's model draws design inspiration from Vespa but is more compact and offers features like a smart key, a digital dashboard, and a USB charging port.

20-35 Million VND

The 20-35 million VND segment has a wide array of brands and models. Customers can find motorcycles with ranges from 100-200 km per charge, some with removable batteries for flexible charging. Unlike the under-20 million VND segment, these models often resemble small gas-powered scooters, suitable for adults' personal transportation or delivery services.

Selex Camel.

Yadea Velax.

VinFast offers several options in this range, including the Evo200 (22 million VND) and Feliz (30 million VND). These models have a range of 160-200 km and differ primarily in design and motor performance, with most featuring a neutral, elegant style.

The Honda ICON e:, manufactured in Vietnam, is a new electric motorcycle from the Japanese brand. Priced around 27 million VND, it requires a monthly battery rental fee of 350,000 VND. Honda targets students with the ICON e:, which has a top speed of 49 km/h and a 71 km range.

The Yadea Velax, priced at 30 million VND and launched mid-year, resembles a gas-powered scooter. It boasts a top speed of 64 km/h, an 80 km range, and smart features like rider recognition, smartphone key functionality, family account sharing, vehicle location, GPS, and customizable sound alerts. It also includes cruise control, a digital display, front storage, and full LED lighting.

For delivery services, the Selex Camel offers a 225 kg load capacity, a top speed of 70-80 km/h, and comes equipped with a cargo box or frame, priced at 28-29 million VND. Selex models also offer battery swapping at designated stations, reducing downtime for delivery drivers.

35-50 Million VND

In the 35-50 million VND range, customers can find more refined designs, higher motor performance, and additional features. VinFast offers the Klara (36.5 million VND) with a top speed of 78 km/h and a 200 km range, and the Vento (49.2 million VND) with a top speed of 89 km/h and a 160 km range.

Yamaha Neo's.

Datbike Quantum.

Datbike's Quantum offers a more unconventional and individualistic design, priced from 35-50 million VND depending on the version, with a range of 200-285 km and a top speed of 90-100 km/h. The Quantum uses a chain drive and mid-mounted motor for a more balanced and stable ride compared to most hub motor electric motorcycles. It also features reverse mode, cruise control, and hill-start assist.

Yamaha's Neo’s, listed at 50 million VND but recently discounted to 33-35 million VND, has a 72 km range and a top speed of 50 km/h. Its removable under-seat battery is a key feature. A second battery can be added to extend the range to 144 km, with each battery costing 20 million VND.

While Honda doesn't sell in this segment, they offer the CUV e: for rent at 1.5 million VND per month, with an 80.7 km range and a top speed of 83 km/h.

High-Performance Electric Motorcycles

High-performance electric motorcycles are rare in Vietnam. This segment caters to enthusiasts seeking superior performance and unique designs.

The BMW CE4, priced at 549 million VND, represents this segment. Imported from Germany, it has a 130 km range, accelerates from 0-50 km/h in 2.6 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 120 km/h. The CE4's futuristic maxi-scooter design sets it apart, currently without direct competition in Vietnam.
