Former Top Gear presenter, Chris Harris, had his classic BMW M5 E28 stolen. He announced the theft on his Instagram account early in the morning of 21/7, noting that the car was taken from Clifton, Bristol, the previous night.
"Please share and help me find it. I've had it for 19 years," he wrote. Harris has nearly 900,000 followers on Instagram. About three hours after his post, someone reported seeing the car.

Harris provided updates as he approached the location. "Crazy world, why would they leave it on the street?", he remarked upon learning the stolen car was parked casually on the road.
Upon arrival, he simply exclaimed, "There it is, my M5 on the brick background." A fan named Lee had located the car, messaged Harris, and stayed put until he arrived.
"I got it back and I feel incredibly lucky," Harris expressed, going on to describe the damage inflicted during the car's brief disappearance.
The wheels and tires were damaged and needed replacing. The ignition wires were cut, and other electrical wires were pulled out. Fortunately, the car's structure remained intact and repairable.

The BMW M5 E28 is not just any classic car. Produced in limited numbers in the late 1980s, it was the world's fastest sedan at the time, equipped with a modified version of the legendary BMW M1's inline-six engine. Harris's car wasn't just a rare machine; it was a part of his personal and professional journey for nearly two decades.
