Dashboard camera footage shows five motorcycles crossing the intersection of Vo Chi Cong Street while the light is red. Several vehicles with the right-of-way were crossing the motorcycles' path. One motorcyclist even gestured for the oncoming traffic to stop and yield. Fortunately, a collision was avoided.
All vehicles must stop at a red light, except in certain situations. In the absence of traffic signals, drivers should reduce speed, observe all directions, and proceed only when safe.
According to Decree 168/2024, running a red light on a motorcycle results in a fine of 4-6 million VND and 4 points deducted from the driver's license. If an accident occurs, the fine increases to 10-12 million VND, with 10 points deducted.
