Fluctuating domestic fuel prices are a key reason for consumer interest in fuel consumption when choosing two-wheeled vehicles. Yamaha's hybrid engine line, which combines both a gasoline engine and an electric motor, presents a strong consideration in the current market.

The hybrid engine in the Yamaha Grande features a mutually supportive operation throughout its journey, with both components integrated into a single drivetrain system. The gasoline engine remains the primary power source, while the electric motor assists by boosting torque when the scooter starts or accelerates. This design helps optimize fuel consumption.
According to Yamaha, the electric motor on the Grande hybrid ensures smoother operation and quiet performance at low speeds. This makes it ideal for congested urban traffic, where riders frequently stop and move short distances. This scooter model is equipped with a 125 cc Blue Core hybrid engine, and its DiASil cylinder cooling system maintains stable operating temperatures.

The Yamaha Grande hybrid boasts a fuel consumption rate of 1,73 liters per 100 km, as announced by the manufacturer. This makes it a leading fuel-efficient scooter in its segment in Vietnam. During actual operation, the electric motor engages for about three seconds from startup, providing an electric-only riding experience. For urban environments with frequent stops and starts, the scooter's stop&start system temporarily shuts off the engine, further optimizing fuel consumption.
