Honda enhances gasoline CR-V with additional features

Honda upgrades gasoline CR-V variants with enhanced safety and entertainment features; the G variant sees a 10 million VND price increase, while the L variant retains its original price, as of 19/3.

Following the domestic launch of the CR-V hybrid in early March, Honda Vietnam has introduced minor upgrades to its two pure gasoline-powered variants, while simultaneously discontinuing the CR-V L AWD variant.

The CR-V L now includes post-collision automatic emergency braking and front parking sensors. Its price remains unchanged at 1.099 billion VND. The CR-V G variant receives more extensive enhancements, such as post-collision automatic emergency braking, Honda Lanewatch lane keeping assist, rear sensors, and a larger 9-inch infotainment screen. This variant is now priced at 1.039 billion VND, reflecting a 10 million VND increase over its previous cost. Both variants continue to be assembled at Honda's plant in Phu Tho and became available for sale at dealerships nationwide from 19/3.

Both CR-V gasoline variants are equipped with a 1.5 VTEC Turbo engine, delivering 188 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. It produces 240 Nm of torque from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm. All CR-V variants come standard with the Honda Sensing driver assistance system, which includes: collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assist, lead car departure notification, adaptive cruise control, and adaptive high beam.

Additional active safety features include Honda Lanewatch lane keeping assist, tire pressure warning, front sensors (on the L variant), rear sensors, driver drowsiness warning, and automatic wipers (on the L variant). Passive safety features comprise eight airbags and post-collision emergency braking. The Honda CR-V has achieved a 5-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP.

Gasoline-powered CR-V variants offer a seven-seater configuration and a range of features, including the Honda Connect system and remote start. The interior boasts a 9-inch infotainment screen, wireless connectivity, and wireless charging. The driver's seat is 8-way power adjustable with two memory positions, while the front passenger seat is 4-way power adjustable. The cabin also provides multiple storage compartments across all rows.

The Honda CR-V comes with a warranty of three years or 100,000 km, with an extended warranty of two years or 50,000 km specifically for the engine and transmission. Currently, the CR-V is distributed in four variants: two pure gasoline versions and two hybrid versions.
