Honda Vietnam launches new NX500, CB500 Hornet, CBR500R

Three new big bike models feature e-clutch, an upgraded Euro 4 compliant engine, and are priced from 199-213 million dong.

Honda Vietnam has introduced 2026 versions for its 500cc motorcycle lineup, including the NX500, CB500 Hornet, and CBR500R. For these three models, the Japanese automaker upgraded the twin-cylinder engine to meet Euro 4 emission standards. They also feature e-clutch technology, an automatic electronic clutch system allowing riders to shift gears without using the clutch lever. Additionally, the versions feature refined designs with new graphics and paint schemes.

According to the plan, the three new motorcycle models will be available on the market from 10/10, with specific prices detailed in the table below:

Model New price Old price Difference
NX500 213,29 194,29 +19
CB500 Hornet 199,99 184,99 +15
CBR500R 209,99 192,99 +17

Unit: Million dong

The three motorcycles share several features, including a 5-inch TFT display for vehicle information and LED lighting. Both wheels have disc brakes with an integrated anti-lock braking system (abs). A traction control system and an emergency brake alert system are also included.

The 2026 NX500, CB500 Hornet, and CBR500R models share the same two-cylinder, 471cc liquid-cooled, electronic fuel-injected engine as their predecessors. This engine produces 49 horsepower and 43 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed manual clutch.

The NX500, an adventure-style model, targets first-time owners or those seeking long journeys. It features a rally-style windscreen, inverted front forks, and a mono-shock rear suspension. The bike rides on a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, with a fuel tank capacity of 17,7 liters.

The new Honda CB500 Hornet is priced at nearly 200 million dong.

The 2026 Honda CBR500R is priced at 209,99 million dong.

The new CB500 Hornet inherits the Hornet's DNA, embodying a streetfighter style. It features a low-slung design, wide handlebars, and a tiered seat. The aggressive headlight unit complements Showa SFF-BP 41mm inverted front forks and a single-tube rear spring shock absorber with hydraulic damping, offering 5 levels of adjustment.

The 2026 CBR500R boasts a sportbike design, inheriting the Fireblade styling of the CBR1000RR-R. This new version features a refreshed fairing with race-inspired paint and graphics, including aerodynamic winglets. Its headlight cluster has also been redesigned for a sharper look.
