iCaur, a sub-brand of Chinese automotive group Chery, will enter the Vietnamese market by the end of 2026, a company representative announced. The first two products to be distributed are the V23 and V27 high-riding models, with sales commencing in December.
These two models will be assembled at the Gel - O&J factory in Hung Yen. This facility also assembles vehicles for Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam. iCaur Vietnam has not yet disclosed the technical specifications or pricing for the V23 and V27, which will be revealed closer to their market launch.

During a media experience event for Vietnamese press at the Gel - O&J factory, iCaur showcased the V23 and V27, which were temporarily imported from Laos for the occasion.
The V23 is a compact electric crossover with a rugged, distinctive design. According to specifications for the Lao market, its dimensions are 4,220 x 1,915 x 1,845 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm. While its overall size is smaller than some B-segment high-riding vehicles, its wheelbase surpasses even some C-segment CUVs. For instance, the Honda HR-V has an overall length of 4,347 mm and a wheelbase of 2,610 mm, while the Ford Territory features a 2,726 mm wheelbase.
In the Lao market, the V23 is available in two versions: Standard (rear-wheel drive) and Long Range (four-wheel drive). The rear-wheel drive variant is equipped with a rear axle electric motor producing 135 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque. The four-wheel drive version features an electric motor on each axle, delivering a total output of 209 horsepower and 292 Nm of torque.

The rear-wheel drive version is equipped with a 59,93 kWh battery, offering a range of 360 km, while the four-wheel drive version uses an 81,76 kWh battery with a 430 km range. The battery supports DC fast charging at 85-104 kW and features 3,3 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability.
The iCaur V27 SUV has dimensions of 5,045 x 1,976 x 1,894 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. These dimensions are 20 mm shorter in length and 70 mm shorter in wheelbase compared to the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid (5,065 mm length and 2,970 mm wheelbase).
According to iCaur Laos specifications, the vehicle utilizes an extended range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrain and supports 100 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10-80% charge in 17 minutes. The V27 is available in two variants: rear-wheel drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (iWD). Both variants are equipped with a 1,5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that acts as a generator to charge the 34,31 kWh battery pack, without directly powering the wheels.
