KTM, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, initiated a global recall for its Duke series after internal quality checks revealed a potential issue with the fuel tank cap gasket. The affected gaskets may not meet required durability standards and could crack over time, leading to fuel leaks. This defect poses a safety risk due to potential fuel spillage.

The recall specifically targets Duke models, including the 125 Duke, 250 Duke, 390 Duke, and 990 Duke, manufactured from 2024. KTM will directly contact owners of affected vehicles to schedule free inspections and replacements. This recall is comprehensive, extending to all markets where KTM motorcycles are distributed, effective 13/11.
Owners can also verify if their motorcycle is part of the recall by checking their vehicle identification number (VIN) on KTM's official website. A specific concern arises for owners in Vietnam, as KTM stopped selling vehicles in the country since May. The process for addressing affected models in Vietnam remains unclear.
Following the discontinuation of KTM and Husqvarna sales in Vietnam, Al Naboodah Quoc Te Vietnam continues to distribute other premium motorcycle brands. The company maintains its business operations by representing Triumph and Harley-Davidson in the Vietnamese market.
