On 3/7, at the LiveRARE exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City, Mercedes Vietnam introduced the 2025 upgraded version of the Maybach GLS 600 4Matic, a near-ultra-luxury SUV priced at 12.379 billion VND. A less expensive version, the Mercedes GLS 450 4Matic, is also available for 5.689 billion VND.
Compared to its predecessor, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 doesn't show many overall design changes. A few details have been refined, such as the new 23-inch single-piece cast wheels and Maybach logos adorning the air intakes near the front bumper.

The upgraded GLS 600 features a welcome light strip along the sides with Maybach logos. The rear taillights have a new design. The interior boasts a new steering wheel, while the layout remains the same. Mercedes has enhanced the SUV's luxury with higher-grade leather and wood trim compared to the previous generation. The 360-degree camera system now includes the Transparent Bonnet feature, similar to the GLC series.
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 retains its 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine but now includes a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine delivers 557 horsepower at 6,000-6,500 rpm and 770 Nm of torque at 2,500-4,500 rpm. It's paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive.
The Maybach GLS 600 is the top-of-the-line gasoline-powered GLS model. The all-electric EQS SUV is built on a completely different platform. Targeting affluent owners, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 offers a wealth of amenities. The two rear seats are designed in a business class style. The third-row seats have been removed to make space for a small refrigerator.
All seats feature cooling, heating, and massage functions. The rear seats recline to 43.5 degrees and include footrests. Passengers in the back have their own 11.6-inch entertainment screens (behind the front seats), wireless headphones, and a tablet.
In Vietnam, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 competes with other high-end SUVs like the Land Rover Range Rover, starting at 12.679 billion VND, and the Bentley Bentayga, starting at over 14 billion VND.
