Mitsubishi unveiled the Pajero Rally Concept, a new generation SUV featuring a sporty exterior and specialized off-road equipment, on 2/9. This concept highlights the return of the Pajero with a body-on-frame chassis and a diesel engine, positioning it as a direct competitor to the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.

The concept boasts an aggressive exterior.

The grille features the Ralliart emblem.

The wheels are paired with specialized cross-country tires.

Displayed alongside a Triton ASXR, a pickup truck that won the Asia Cross Country Rally, the Pajero Rally Concept stood out with its vibrant red paint, inspired by sports racing cars, and glossy Ralliart graphics. It features 18-inch Work Crag T-Grabic MC aluminum alloy wheels fitted with Yokohama Geolandar X-AT off-road tires.

Key distinctions from the standard Pajero include: extended front and rear fenders, custom C-pillar trim, red underbody protection, a grille with the Ralliart logo, and a snorkel. Mitsubishi stated that these are accessories, with some being genuine parts available in their upgrade catalog.

The new generation Pajero is built on the Triton's body-on-frame chassis, featuring a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link solid axle rear suspension. At its launch, the vehicle was equipped with a 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 204 hp and 480 Nm of peak torque. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the standard Super Select 4WD II system.
