During a traffic incident, a large truck, taking a turn at high speed in a right-turn lane, struck a motorcyclist, knocking them down and running over the motorcycle repeatedly. The truck's front wheels, followed by three trailer wheels, all ran over the motorcycle. Fortunately, the motorcycle sprang out, and the rider escaped injury.
Driving skills: Even when navigating lanes with yellow box junctions where stopping is prohibited, vehicles must reduce speed when turning, especially at busy intersections like the one shown in the video. Driving at high speeds in urban areas with large vehicles, which often have significant blind spots, is dangerous for smaller vehicles, particularly when turning. This also makes it difficult for drivers to react to sudden situations.
Motorcyclists should always pay attention to their surroundings, not only ahead but also behind them, using rear-view mirrors to ensure no vehicles are approaching.
The following incident illustrates another consequence of a truck turning too quickly without reducing speed, causing its rear to swing out and knock a motorcyclist in the oncoming lane flying, on 24/9/2025 at Khe Pass, Thai Nguyen.
