On a busy road, a fully-covered motorcyclist attempted to overtake a truck on the left. As the motorcyclist reached the truck's side, another motorbike turned from the opposite direction. The two motorbikes nearly collided head-on. The first motorcyclist, startled, braked abruptly and fell, rolling under the truck's wheels. The extent of injuries is unknown.
On crowded roads, drivers should remain calm and wait for clear conditions before overtaking. If encountering an unexpected obstacle while overtaking, calmly reduce speed. Motorcyclists should apply both front and rear brakes. Avoid the habit of squeezing only the front right brake, which can lock the front wheel, causing imbalance and a fall.
In all circumstances, it's best to maintain a safe distance from large, high-clearance vehicles such as trucks, buses, and containers.
