Audi Vietnam is preparing to introduce a series of new models to the country. The spotlight is on the new generation Q3 and Q5, key models anticipated to reshape consumer preferences in the compact and mid-size luxury SUV segments.
Audi Q3 2026
The new generation Q3 marks a comprehensive transformation in both design and technology. Adopting an SUV-coupe design language, the Q3 2026 features a large grille and digital matrix LED headlights. The most significant change is in the cockpit, where the German automaker has removed nearly all physical buttons. The large screen cluster behind the steering wheel includes an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen, alongside Audi's latest technologies and equipment.

In Europe, the Q3 2026 offers various powertrain options, including gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Standard gasoline engines include a 1.5-liter TSFI producing 148 horsepower, or a 2.0-liter TSFI delivering 261 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. For the diesel option, the Q3 TDI generates 148 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed S-tronic transmission and front-wheel drive.
A highlight is the PHEV Q3 e-hybrid, which features a 25.7 kWh battery pack, offering a combined output of 268 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. In EV mode, the Q3 can travel up to 119 km. The battery supports 50 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80% charge in approximately 30 minutes.
The Q3 competes in the same segment as its domestic rival, the BMW X1. The new Q3 distinguishes itself with digital infotainment technology and a future-oriented interior, while the X1 emphasizes driving feel.
Audi Q5 2026
While the Q3 embodies youthfulness, the new generation Q5 serves as Audi's strategic move to challenge formidable competitors like the BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC.
The Q5 2026 is the third generation, featuring comprehensive improvements inside and out. Compared to its predecessor, the new generation Q5 appears more masculine and sporty, with matrix LED headlights and new OLED taillights. The grille is more aggressive. The interior sees the most significant changes; departing from the older model's simpler style, the new Audi is replete with touchscreens.

The cockpit features three prominent screens.
The cockpit layout includes three screens: an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch central infotainment touchscreen, and an optional 10.9-inch passenger display. It also features a minimalist electronic gear selector.
The new generation Q5 previously appeared at Audi's first global standard dealership in Vietnam. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.0 turbocharged mild-hybrid powertrain, delivering 268 horsepower and 400 Nm of peak torque. In international markets, the Q5 2026 also offers a PHEV powertrain.
The current version of the Audi Q5 starts from approximately 2,39 billion VND. Competitors include the Mercedes GLC (2,319-2,839 billion VND) and the BMW X3 (2,279-2,629 billion VND).
According to the German luxury car manufacturer, the new generation Q3 and Q5 luxury crossovers are expected to launch in the Vietnamese market on 19/6.
Audi Vietnam's introduction of new generation products demonstrates its commitment to refreshing its brand image. However, major hurdles for Audi in Vietnam include higher prices (due to import status) and a less extensive dealer network compared to its rivals. Nevertheless, for customers prioritizing differentiation, technology, and a modern luxury vehicle, the new generation Q3 and Q5 are certainly compelling options to consider.
