The pickup truck segment in the Vietnamese market consists of five models: Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, and Nissan Navara. Nissan does not publicly release its monthly sales figures.
According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) sales report, total pickup truck sales for the first half of 2025 reached 11,329 vehicles, a 19.5% increase compared to the same period last year, demonstrating the segment's strong appeal. The Ranger continued to dominate, while the Triton and Hilux experienced significant growth compared to the first half of 2024.
The Ranger maintained its leading position with steady sales. The American brand pickup truck was the most popular in the Vietnamese market during the first half of 2025. Ranger sales reached 7,785 units, a slight increase of 0.54% compared to 7,743 units in the first half of 2024. This reaffirms the Ranger's dominance, attributed to its attractive design, diverse model range, performance, and brand value.
Both the Triton and Hilux saw strong sales growth in the first half of 2025. Mitsubishi's pickup truck recorded impressive growth with 1,816 units sold, an 83.25% increase compared to 991 units in the first half of 2024. This growth demonstrates the increasing appeal of product improvements.

The Hilux also made an impressive comeback. Total sales for the first six months of 2025 reached 1,473 units, a substantial 155.7% increase compared to 576 units in the first half of 2024. This indicates that Toyota's pickup truck is regaining traction and becoming more competitive within the segment.
The Isuzu D-Max remains the least popular pickup truck in the market, with modest sales compared to its competitors. In the first half of 2025, the D-Max saw positive growth with 255 units sold, a 50% increase compared to 170 units delivered during the same period in 2024. Isuzu's pickup truck is gradually improving and attracting more customers with its new version.
