Pickup truck nearly flips while speeding on pothole-ridden highway

A pickup truck driver lost control of their vehicle after speeding over a deteriorated section of National Highway 28B on July 20th, narrowly avoiding a rollover.

The incident occurred on a section of National Highway 28B known for its poor condition and numerous potholes. Most drivers were using the opposite lane to avoid the damaged areas. However, the pickup truck driver remained in their lane and sped forward, quickly losing control. The vehicle swerved, nearly flipped, crossed into the oncoming lane, and ended up in the roadside ditch.

National Highway 28B, connecting Binh Thuan and Lam Dong, is currently in a state of disrepair, with ongoing repairs being conducted along various sections.

Driving on roads with potholes and puddles presents significant dangers, especially at high speeds. When a tire hits a pothole, the uneven surface can cause the vehicle to veer off course. If the driver can't maintain control of the steering wheel, they risk losing control entirely, potentially leading to accidents like the one shown in the video, where the vehicle veers off the road or collides with other vehicles.

Another hazard is the risk of tire damage. Sharp rocks and debris in potholes can tear tires, causing dangerous blowouts. Additionally, repeatedly hitting potholes can accelerate wear and tear on the vehicle's suspension system.
