The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) reported that 2,922 pickup trucks were delivered in October, marking a 15,45% increase from September with 391 more units sold.
While the overall market experienced growth, this expansion was uneven, showing clear differentiation among models. Vietnam's pickup truck segment includes five models: Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, and Nissan Navara. Sales figures for the Navara model were not disclosed.
The Ranger firmly maintained its leading position, driving the segment's overall growth. The American-branded pickup continued its dominant performance, selling 1,876 units in October—193 more than in September, an 11,47% increase. The Ranger's performance largely contributed to the segment's overall expansion.
Toyota Hilux climbed to second place in October sales, with 522 units sold. This represented an increase of 211 units from September and a significant 67,85% growth, the highest in the segment.
Following Hilux, the Isuzu D-Max recorded the second-highest growth. With 83 new units delivered in October, 30 more than in September, its sales increased by 56,6%, signaling an improving market position for the model.
Mitsubishi Triton was the only model in the segment to see a sales decline in October compared to September. It sold 441 units, 43 fewer than in the previous month, marking an 8,8% decrease.
For year-to-date sales in 2025, the Ranger led with cumulative deliveries of 14,453 units. The Triton secured second place with 3,255 units, followed by the Hilux at 3,026 units, and the D-Max with 470 units.
