According to the sales report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA), total pickup truck sales in November reached 2,960 units. This marked a slight increase of 38 vehicles compared to October's 2,922 units, representing a modest growth of 1,3%.
The Ford Ranger continued to lead the sales charts. Ford delivered 2,040 Ranger units in November, an increase of 164 vehicles from the 1,876 units sold in October. The Ranger not only maintained its top position but also served as a key driver for the overall pickup truck market's growth.
The second position in the segment saw intense competition between the Mitsubishi Triton and the Toyota Hilux. While the Hilux held second place in October, the Triton surpassed it in November.
Mitsubishi's pickup truck recorded stable, albeit modest, growth, reaching 469 units. This was an increase of 28 vehicles from the 441 units sold in October, corresponding to a 6,35% growth rate. In contrast, the Hilux delivered 401 units in November, 121 fewer than the 522 units sold in October, reflecting a 23,18% decrease.
Similar to the Hilux, the Isuzu D-Max also experienced a sales decline, dropping from 83 units in October to 50 units in November, a decrease of 39,7%.
In addition to these four models, the Nissan Navara is also part of Vietnam's pickup truck segment. However, Nissan does not release its monthly sales figures.
November's pickup truck market revealed a clear differentiation: the strong growth of the Ranger and Triton compensated for the decline of the Hilux and D-Max, helping the overall market maintain stability in total sales volume.
Cumulatively from the beginning of 2025, the Ranger significantly outpaced its competitors in the segment with total sales of 16,493 units. The Triton held the second position with 3,724 units, the Hilux sold 3,427 units to rank third, and the D-Max occupied the final position with 520 units sold.
