Manufactured at Thanh Cong Group's factory in Quang Ninh, the commercial version of the Kushaq is entering Vietnam's booming B-segment CUV market.

According to Skoda sales representatives, the upcoming Kushaq will be available in two versions: Ambition and Style. Standard exterior features include LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, and power-folding mirrors. The interior boasts a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity and automatic climate control.
Dealerships confirm the Skoda Kushaq will be equipped with a 1-liter turbocharged engine producing 115 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine performance is comparable to the Hyundai Creta's naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine.
Most vehicles in the B-segment SUV category are equipped with naturally aspirated engines. Currently, besides the Kushaq, the Kia Seltos is one of the few models offering a turbocharged engine option. The Honda HR-V previously offered a turbocharged variant, but it's no longer available. The Volkswagen T-Cross, which featured a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine, has been discontinued.
While the official price of the Skoda Kushaq has not been announced, dealerships estimate the standard version will be under 600 million VND. Popular gasoline-powered competitors in the segment, such as the Mitsubishi Xforce, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos, start at 599 million VND, while the Toyota Yaris Cross starts at 650 million VND.
A representative from Thanh Cong Group stated that the Skoda factory is prioritizing the production of the Kushaq for its initial market release, followed by the B-segment sedan, Slavia. Upon launch, the Kushaq will be the third locally produced B-segment CUV, after the Seltos and Creta.
As of May, the B-segment CUV market has been dominated by the VinFast VF 6, with sales exceeding 7,300 units. Following closely behind are the Toyota Yaris Cross with 4,270 units and the Mitsubishi Xforce with 3,144 units.
