The Japanese automaker released a rear image of a vehicle with a single accompanying phrase: "Something new is coming". These details narrow the scope of speculation while leaving room for interpretation.
Some industry observers suggest this could be the long-rumored compact pickup truck, aimed at rival Ford Maverick. This is a reasonable guess. Thin LED taillights, vertical rear glass, and what appears to be the edge of a truck bed all suggest a pickup design.

The vehicle's styling resembles an SUV or possibly a softer crossover, featuring an upright stance and a roof rack. This shape could also be easily confused with a pickup truck.
The Toyota RAV4, 4Runner, and Land Cruiser are all relatively new models, so they are likely not part of these plans, with the exception of a potentially restyled RAV4 EV. A new Highlander remains a possibility. Toyota's Grand Highlander has been a success, but the original Highlander is still planned, and this could be its new iteration.
Another discussed possibility is an upcoming three-row electric SUV, slated for production at Toyota's factory in Kentucky, USA. Initially expected to launch in 2025, its debut has been postponed to the first half of 2026. Given this timeframe, it stands as a strong candidate.
Alternatively, this could simply be a bold concept with limited production potential. What is certain is that Toyota will unveil one or even several new products in California in february. By My Anh (according to Carscoops)
