Footage from the scene showed a powerful impact, scattering debris across the roadway. Hours later, fragments were still visible along the road as rescue crews continued cleanup operations.

The 38-year-old large truck driver was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. All other individuals involved sustained minor to moderate injuries, according to the CHP.
