In heavy traffic, a small truck in the lane closest to the median barrier suddenly signaled to change lanes and immediately swerved right. A car was traveling at a moderate speed in the adjacent right lane. The truck driver made a turn of the steering wheel as if blindfolded, even though the car was not in a significant blind spot.

The incident caused the car to be hit by the truck, spinning it sideways and pushing it forward a short distance. Property damage is currently unknown.

The truck driver demonstrated negligence by changing lanes without proper observation. This behavior, coupled with a habit of swerving and frequently changing lanes whenever traffic ahead slows down, significantly contributes to traffic chaos and increases the likelihood of accidents. In this particular situation, the driver violated regulations regarding improper lane changes causing a traffic accident. This offense carries a fine of 20-22 million VND and a deduction of 10 driver's license points, according to Decree 168/2024.
