A truck driver signaled a lane change and immediately moved over, despite a car driving closely alongside. The truck clipped the car, spinning it and pushing it forward before the car was thrown backward. Fortunately, there were no injuries, though the car sustained damage.
Besides signaling, drivers should only change lanes when it is safe to do so. Large vehicles like trucks have significant blind spots and should avoid changing lanes in heavy traffic to ensure their own safety and that of others.
This incident highlights the inherent risks of driving near large vehicles. Drivers should proactively maintain a safe distance from container trucks, buses, and trucks from all sides.
