Italian motorcycle brand Piaggio unveiled the Vespa Edizione Ottatesimo, a special edition scooter marking its 80th anniversary, at the Vespa Days event in Rome from 25-28/6. This limited-edition model, with only 1,946 units produced worldwide, reflects the brand's founding year.
The Vespa Edizione Ottatesimo is built upon the GTS 310 platform, featuring the same liquid-cooled, single-cylinder HPE 310 cc engine. This powerplant delivers 25 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 28.4 Nm at 5,250 rpm.

The Vespa Edizione Ottatesimo 2026 is limited to 1,946 units worldwide.
The Edizione Ottatesimo special edition stands out with its matte gray paint and green decorative accents. Piaggio, the Italian manufacturer, applies a unique green hue to the seat and wheels, evoking the aesthetic of early Vespa models. Its 12-inch wheels draw inspiration from the pressed steel rims used on the 1946 Vespa 98.
Further distinguishing the model is a three-dimensional, embossed '80' in a familiar green, etched onto both sides of the scooter's body. The hexagonal '0' within this emblem cleverly mimics the shape of a bolt, underscoring Vespa's renowned craftsmanship. Each special edition also features a unique numbered plaque beneath the seat.
Mirroring the GTS 310, the Vespa Edizione Ottatesimo includes a LED lighting system, a 5-inch TFT color display, and connectivity through the Vespa MIA app. It features single disc brakes on both wheels and smart key functionality. Standard safety features comprise anti-lock braking system (ABS) and anti-slip regulation (ASR) traction control.
The Vespa Edizione Ottatesimo is slated for release at 12,000 USD in the US and 16,000 USD in the UK. Only 25 units will be available to US customers.
