VinFast announced an upgrade to the Minio Green just before its scheduled delivery. The vehicle's high-voltage battery capacity has been increased from 15.2 kWh to 18.5 kWh, extending its range from 170 km to 210 km on a single charge, based on the NEDC standard.

The Vietnamese automaker also upgraded the electrical system and motor from 110V to 400V to improve charging efficiency and performance. This reduces the charging time from 10% to 70% to just over 30 minutes. The addition of these features will delay the Minio Green's delivery by about 4 months compared to the original schedule. VinFast will cover all additional costs, and customers who have placed deposits will not incur any extra fees.
This upgrade is based on customer feedback and market research. "VinFast always listens to our customers and is ready to adjust and upgrade our products to meet their needs," said Duong Thi Thu Trang, deputy general director of global sales at VinFast. "The increased range and faster charging will enhance the Minio Green ownership experience."
The first Minio Green vehicles are now expected to reach Vietnamese customers in December, 4 months later than initially announced. VinFast will offer customers who have already placed deposits the option to switch to a different model or receive a full refund plus an additional fee equivalent to bank savings interest.
The Minio Green is a compact two-door, four-seat urban electric vehicle designed for personal commuting and transportation services. The vehicle is priced at 269 million dong (including the battery) and is eligible for VinFast's current promotional offers.
