Vinfast offers incentives for electric vehicle battery purchases

Vinfast is offering incentives for electric vehicle owners currently leasing batteries to switch to full ownership throughout July.

The program applies to Vinfast customers who currently lease batteries for their electric vehicles. For electric motorbikes, the company is offering a conversion equivalent to 10% of the battery's sale price. For electric cars, the standard rate is 1%, except for the Vinfast VF 3, which receives a 2% conversion rate.

According to Vinfast, the conversion value will be added as Vpoints to the customer's VinClub account. These Vpoints can be used to purchase vouchers or receive discounts on services within the Vingroup ecosystem, including Vinfast, Vinmec, Vinhomes, Vinpearl, and Xanh SM.

The program is exclusive to customers currently leasing batteries who switch to purchasing them during July. Vpoints will be credited to VinClub accounts by 10/8. Vinfast electric vehicle batteries come with a warranty of up to 10 years, covering both the vehicle and the battery. The company also continues its policy of free charging at V-Green stations nationwide for electric car owners until the end of June 2027.

Vinfast initially offered the battery leasing model but discontinued it on 1/3. Customers who are still leasing batteries can continue their contracts or purchase the batteries at a discounted price.
