Vinfast opens sales for VF 6 and VF 7 in India

Vinfast is now accepting deposits for its first two electric SUVs in India, with sales opening and deliveries starting in August.

Starting 15/7, Vinfast began accepting deposits for the VF 6 and VF 7 in India. The deposit amount is 21,000 INR, equivalent to 245 USD, and is refundable if customers decide not to purchase the vehicles at the time of delivery.

Vinfast has identified the VF 6 and VF 7 as well-suited to the needs and infrastructure of the Indian market. These are the first two models the company is launching in India. Both vehicles are being assembled at the Vinfast factory currently under construction in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, demonstrating the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer’s long-term commitment to India as a key market and future electric vehicle production hub.

The VF 7 is a standout electric SUV in the Vinfast lineup, thanks to its futuristic and sporty design. It features level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), a large touchscreen, and various wireless connectivity options. Highlights include a panoramic sunroof, interior lighting system, and signature LED daytime running lights.

The smaller VF 6 is a family-oriented electric SUV with a modern design. It also includes level 2 ADAS, an intuitive entertainment system, and a range of smart connectivity features. Like the VF 7, the VF 6 in India also offers a panoramic sunroof and Vinfast's characteristic wing-shaped LED light strip.

Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of Vinfast Asia, noted the significant interest in the VF 6 and VF 7 following their introduction at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. "This demonstrates a readiness and desire among Indian consumers to transition to sustainable mobility solutions. The VF 6 and VF 7 represent Vinfast's vision of providing electric vehicles that meet market demands," he said.

Vinfast has partnered with 13 distributors and developed 32 dealerships across 27 cities in preparation for delivering its first vehicles in India. This dealer network will form a 3S ecosystem encompassing sales, service, and spare parts. Vinfast is also collaborating with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to establish a charging station network and after-sales services throughout India. In the recycling sector, Vinfast has joined forces with BatX Energies for battery recycling, rare metal recovery, and repurposing used batteries.
