VinFast sells over 20,000 electric vehicles in august

With 20,161 electric vehicles delivered, VinFast's year-to-date sales reached 154,073 units, leading the Vietnamese market.

Maintaining sales above 20,000 vehicles per month, VinFast continues to demonstrate the growth of electric vehicles in the Vietnamese market, even during the "Ngau" month (ghost month, a period traditionally associated with slower sales).

The VF 3 was the company's best-selling model in august, with 6,453 units sold and year-to-date sales reaching 35,798 vehicles. This compact urban vehicle continues to appeal to Vietnamese customers due to its distinctive, small design, and low running costs, making it suitable for daily city use.

Ranking second in VinFast's best-seller list was the VF 5, with 4,265 units (including the Herio Green version), bringing its total deliveries to users from the beginning of the year to 27,948 units. The Limo Green maintained stable sales with 4,203 vehicles in august and 34,991 cumulative vehicles year-to-date. VinFast targets this 7-seater electric MPV towards customers in the transport service business segment.

Sales for other VinFast models in august included: VF 6 (1,256 vehicles), VF 8 (834 vehicles), Minio Green (698 vehicles), VF 7 (695 vehicles). With cumulative sales of 15,943 and 7,820 vehicles respectively, the VF 6 and VF 7 demonstrate strong appeal in the B-SUV and C-SUV segments, surpassing many gasoline-powered models on the market.

Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy General Director of VinFast Global Automotive Sales, stated that Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing markets for electric vehicle adoption globally, with market share steadily increasing. "With strong user support and plans to deliver and launch new vehicles in the last four months of the year, VinFast will soon break the sales record set last year, establishing a new milestone in the Vietnamese automotive market," she said.

According to VinFast, the company has held the top-selling position in the domestic market for 24 months since 9/2024, contributing to the increasing market share of electric vehicles. Last year, VinFast sold 175,099 vehicles, the highest figure achieved by any automaker in the approximately 30-year history of Vietnam's automotive industry.

From now until the end of the year, VinFast will deliver the new generation VF 8 and VF 2, and plans to introduce additional new products. Currently, buyers of VinFast electric vehicles receive free battery charging at V-Green stations nationwide until 10/2/2029, along with other incentives corresponding to each vehicle line.
