VinFast signs order for 20,000 electric cars in Indonesia

VinFast Indonesia has signed a memorandum of understanding to supply 20,000 electric cars to two partners, with deliveries scheduled from now until 2028.

Under the signed memorandum of understanding, PT Sembilan Benua Abadi will purchase 10,000 VinFast electric vehicles (EVs) from now until the end of 2027. Similarly, PT Satu Kosong Tujuh will acquire 10,000 units, with deliveries extending until the end of 2028. These vehicles are intended for transportation business operations in the Indonesian market.

The VinFast models ordered include the Nerio Green and Limo Green, both optimized for commercial service. The Nerio Green is a refined version of the VF e34, VinFast's first model sold in Indonesia. The Limo Green is the latest model launched in this market, featuring a spacious design, three rows of seats, and an LFP battery providing a range of up to 450 km on a full charge.

By integrating VinFast electric vehicles, the two Indonesian companies aim to enhance the quality of their current fleets, maximize operational efficiency, reduce emissions, and promote the adoption of green transportation habits within the community. "We trust VinFast and its potential to build a comprehensive green transportation ecosystem, aligning with our vision and green transformation goals," stated Nirzam Pahmi, General Director of PT Satu Kosong Tujuh.

Wempy Suciadi, General Director of PT Sembilan Benua Abadi, commented that his company was impressed with the quality of VinFast's products. He believes the two models are promising options that meet the practical needs of Indonesian users amid the shift towards green transportation.

Commenting on the partnership, Kariyanto Hardjosoemarto, General Director of VinFast Indonesia, noted that collaborating with experienced local businesses that understand the market will help VinFast expand its reach and bring modern vehicles and mobility solutions closer to consumers.

After two years in Indonesia, VinFast has steadily built a systematic development foundation, distributing a product range that includes models such as: VF 3, VF 5, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, and VF MPV 7, as well as models from the Green series. According to the company, this broad product portfolio across multiple segments allows partners to flexibly choose vehicles suitable for various service types, enabling consumers to access electric vehicles at different price points.

Currently, VinFast operates a factory in Subang and is continuously expanding its ecosystem by developing a dealership network and after-sales centers, partnering with V-Green to deploy charging station infrastructure, and collaborating with financial institutions and banks.
