Aeon Vietnam wins two HR Asia awards in 2025

Aeon Vietnam has been named one of "Asia's Best Workplaces" for seven consecutive years and has received the "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion" award for two consecutive years at the HR Asia Awards.

The two awards from HR Asia affirm Aeon Vietnam's effective human resources strategy, which focuses on talent development and creating an ideal work environment.

The company implements programs like "Best Practices" and "Aeon Future Leader" to empower employees, encouraging them to contribute ideas, improve processes, and experiment with new initiatives. As of July, the company has 226 employees with over 10 years of tenure, demonstrating a stable and sustainable environment.

According to HR Asia 2025, Aeon Vietnam employees rated the company higher than the industry average. Specifically, the criteria of encouraging further skills development scored 4.46 points (compared to the industry average of 4.06) and "work that is meaningful to the organization's goals" scored 4.40 (compared to 4.07). Mr. Thai Xa Lem, Deputy Manager of the Ready-to-Eat Food Project, Operations Division, shared that nearly 10 years of working at Aeon has allowed him to experience various roles, accumulate experience, and readily embrace new challenges.

With a multi-generational workforce comprising 50% millennials, 46% Gen Z, and 4% Gen X, Aeon Vietnam focuses on harmonizing different experiences, values, and work styles. Nearly 200 millennial managers hold leadership roles, reflecting the company's succession planning capabilities. The company has also enhanced benefits, such as increasing annual leave, adding monthly leave days, and raising housing allowances for certain operational positions.

Furthermore, a coaching culture is widely implemented, supporting younger generations in developing autonomy, contributing initiatives, and cultivating adaptability. Activities like Career Coaching, the "Empathetic Leadership" seminar, the internal coaching community, and the cross-mentoring model help connect and share experiences across generations. The annual "Coaching Festival" has become a highlight of organizational bonding.

Winning two HR Asia Awards for two consecutive years affirms Aeon Vietnam's human resources strategy. The company prioritizes talent development and an ideal work environment alongside business operations, creating a foundation for long-term success.

Aeon Group considers Vietnam a strategic market alongside Japan, aiming to triple its scale by 2030. The company is actively expanding nationwide with various retail models, maintaining continuous recruitment, and creating development opportunities for both internal staff and external candidates.

Organized by HR Asia magazine, the HR Asia Award 2025 recognizes efforts to improve the work environment and retain talent amidst increasingly fierce competition for labor. The winning companies have met criteria related to talent retention, recruitment of technology professionals, and a multi-generational work environment, leading to the selection of replicable models and solutions.
