This year's HR Asia Awards, themed "Multi-Generation Synergy," recognizes efforts to improve the work environment and retain employees in an increasingly competitive labor market. 119 companies were nominated this year. HR Asia representatives stated that the winning companies successfully met criteria related to employee retention, recruitment of tech talent, and multi-generational work environments, showcasing replicable models and solutions.
Carlsberg Vietnam is one of the companies that has successfully blended the enthusiasm and creativity of younger generations with the experience of their predecessors. This spirit is reflected in their talent development programs, internal rotations, continuous training, and comprehensive health care policies. Each employee has a voice, is empowered, and has the space to develop their capabilities, contributing to the company's status as a model for the "Multi-Generation Synergy" celebrated by HR Asia.
"With people at our core, we nurture a work environment that encourages learning, innovation, and inclusion – a place where each individual has the opportunity to fully develop, while inspiring and supporting each other to progress together," said Andrew Khan, CEO of Carlsberg Vietnam.

At Carlsberg Vietnam, a culture of development is ingrained in the company's DNA, shaped by 5 core principles: passion with the Semper Ardens spirit (in Latin, Semper means always, while Ardens symbolizes passion); spreading positive energy and compassion; passion for consumers; making quick decisions and executing excellently; and empowering, supporting, and developing the team.
These principles are put into practice through initiatives such as online training courses, practical coaching, experiencing various positions, clear career paths, and encouraging each individual to push their boundaries.
Career development at Carlsberg Vietnam goes hand in hand with the company's comprehensive welfare and benefits policy. Mental health is a strategic priority, integrated into daily activities.
A highlight is the 2025 Well-being program, which brings together over 1,000 employees nationwide to participate in football, badminton, pickleball, and running. The program promotes physical fitness, team bonding, and positive energy in both work and life.

Occupational safety is also a top priority. The company organizes an annual Health & Safety Day to equip employees with knowledge and reaffirm its commitment to an "accident-free" environment. During the Phu Bai Brewery (Hue) expansion, the company recorded over 1.4 million safe working hours, demonstrating effective operations coupled with care for its people.
In its journey of innovation and sustainable development, Carlsberg Vietnam values diversity. The company is steadfast in its commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion (DE&I), creating an environment where all employees are welcomed, empowered, and encouraged to demonstrate their abilities.
This commitment is reflected in the annual "Welcome You" campaign, with activities such as Vietnamese Women's Day, Pride Month, and International Men's Day, celebrating individual identities and promoting respect.
Carlsberg also expands leadership opportunities for women; currently, over 40% of senior leadership positions are held by women, demonstrating equality and inclusion in action.

According to Khan, each employee is not only an embodiment of the company's values, but also the center of sustainable development. "Our mission is not only to produce excellent beers, but also to 'brew' an environment where every individual is valued, empowered, and nurtured to reach their full potential," he affirmed.
For over 30 years, the company has been committed to Vietnam, and for three consecutive years, it has been recognized by HR Asia as a "Best Workplace in Asia". According to Carlsberg Vietnam, this is just the starting point for a journey where each member is inspired to shine, spread value, and write a story of sustainable development, for a better present and a brighter future.
