The BSR Trade Union of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company has distinguished itself in the "Oil and Gas Innovation Program 2025," an initiative by the Petrovietnam Trade Union. BSR leads the entire system in two key metrics: the volume of registered innovative products and the total value created.
In 2025, the BSR Trade Union significantly surpassed its target of 68 innovative products set by the Petrovietnam Trade Union, achieving 869 innovations. This impressive 1,278% achievement positioned BSR at the forefront of the entire corporation. Furthermore, the company generated over 34.893 billion VND in total value, the highest among all Petrovietnam member units, substantially outperforming its competitors.
Truong Thi Thu Ha, Chairwoman of the BSR Trade Union, emphasized that the company's leading position in both categories within the Petrovietnam Trade Union is not accidental. This success stems from a sustained effort to cultivate an innovation culture, empowering employees to think boldly, act decisively, propose ideas, and assume responsibility.
"The BSR Trade Union views innovation not merely as a competitive initiative, but as an intrinsic driver directly tied to business efficiency and the company's sustainable growth," she stated.

She added that the creative labor movement has become a cornerstone for BSR, enabling it to navigate numerous challenges amid a volatile global energy market. Through proactive technological innovation, optimized operations, and enhanced governance, the company ensures the efficient operation of the Dung Quat Refinery. In 2025, BSR produced over 7,9 million tons of products, achieved a total revenue of approximately 142.298 billion VND, reported a pre-tax profit of 4.541 billion VND, and contributed 14.250 billion VND to the state budget.
Beyond short-term gains, BSR has successfully developed high-value-added products during the 2020-2025 period. These include specialized fuels like Jet A-1K, DO L-62, and RON 83, along with various types of high-quality PP plastic pellets, MFO, SAF, and solid sulfur. Simultaneously, the company prioritizes energy optimization, improves operational efficiency, and reduces emissions. This is achieved through implementing digital technology solutions, simulation, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced management systems, aligning with its green and sustainable development objectives.
BSR's Steering Committee for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation Development convenes monthly. These meetings facilitate comprehensive evaluations of proposals, projects, and scientific products, ensuring timely resolution of issues and strategic allocation of resources to initiatives with breakthrough potential. This model ensures that innovative ideas extend beyond isolated technical applications, integrating closely with the company's long-term development strategy to boost competitiveness and business efficiency.

For total value generated, the subsequent top performers included the trade unions of PVEP, NSRP, Vietsovpetro, PVGAS, PVTrans, and PVOIL.
The Petrovietnam Trade Union initiated the "Oil and Gas Innovation" emulation program for the 2024-2028 period. This program aims to inspire employees across the industry to develop initiatives, implement technical improvements, and enhance productivity and efficiency. These efforts contribute to exceeding the production and business targets of Petrovietnam and its member units. The program also strengthens the "Innovation, Creativity, Linking the Effectiveness of Trade Union Activities" movement, leveraging the intellect, dedication, and responsibility of Petrovietnam employees, and recognizing valuable contributions to both businesses and society.
