This is her second consecutive year on Tatler's "Influential Figure" list, covering 2024-2025. Since 2019, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao has been the only Vietnamese businesswoman on the magazine's list of 110 influential Asians in philanthropy. Tatler's annual "Influential Figures" ranking honors individuals across Asia in business, culture, innovation, and social impact. This year's list includes about 700 figures from seven countries and territories, representing inspiring voices from the region.

At the awards ceremony on 17/12 in Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Ngoc Yen Phuong, Vietjet's Deputy Chief Financial Officer, accepted the honor for Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao. The program introduced the Vietjet Chairwoman as the founder and leader of Vietnam's largest private airline, a modern and resilient female leader. Under her guidance, Vietjet transformed from a new-generation airline into a global brand with an Asia-Pacific flight network, connecting people, economies, and cultures across nations.
Beyond her business endeavors, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao champions initiatives in education, women's empowerment, support for vulnerable communities, and sustainable development. She believes growth extends beyond scale or profit, encompassing humanitarian values disseminated throughout society. In 2017, Forbes first recognized Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao as a self-made billionaire, making her the first female self-made billionaire in Southeast Asia. Her accolades include Bloomberg's Top 50 Global Leaders, Forbes' Top 100 Powerful Women in the World, and Business Insider Australia's Top 100 People Changing Asia's Economy. The French State also bestowed upon her the Legion of Honor for individuals making global contributions.
