Coteccons recognized as 'great place to work'

Coteccons has been honored as a "great place to work" for 2025 by Great Place to Work, a recognition of its people-centric strategy across all development plans.

Great Place to Work evaluated Coteccons through its Trust Index Survey, which assesses five criteria: credibility, reflecting leadership transparency and capability; respect, indicating the level of listening, care, and support among team members. Additionally, the criteria include fairness, ensuring equity in development opportunities, compensation, and the work environment; pride, demonstrating employees' pride in working for and contributing to the company; and camaraderie, showing cohesion, friendliness, and mutual support within the team.

The independent, anonymous survey ensures objectivity and honesty, while also allowing data analysis by group and department to accurately reflect the organization's "cultural health." To date, approximately 200 businesses in Vietnam have received the "great place to work" certification from Great Place to Work.

Based on an independent survey of nearly 2,000 randomly selected employees, 88% of Coteccons personnel rated it as a good place to work. This rate is higher than the global average of 59% for businesses. Following the certification from Great Place to Work, the company's offices and over 80 construction sites nationwide organized internal activities to enhance connection and sharing among team members. These activities highlight the spirit of cohesion and the company's commitment to building a people-focused work environment.

According to a company representative, the "great place to work"-certified award reflects the people-centric human resources strategy that the company has implemented for many years. The award provides a foundation for innovation, organizational capacity building, and long-term sustainable development.

This achievement stems from Coteccons' operational system, which is built on four main pillars, focusing on organization, people, and ways of working. First, the company developed a lean organizational model, often referred to as the "turquoise organization." This structure is designed to simplify, reduce management layers, and limit complex delegation within the reporting system. The company operates based on capability and commitment to work, rather than relying on hierarchy or seniority. This approach enables effective collaboration among diverse teams in terms of age, gender, and expertise.

Coteccons also emphasizes connecting young talent with experienced personnel. The company encourages two-way sharing, learning, and intergenerational collaboration during work processes. Each individual is encouraged to develop their unique capabilities within the framework of shared responsibility, while managing individual roles to achieve collective goals.

In addition to its organizational structure, Coteccons fosters a work culture based on the "OWN IT" spirit. Given the specific nature of the construction industry and its nationwide network of construction sites, the company employs a Human Resources Business Partner model. This model supports site managers and department heads in human resource management and team development. Consequently, every employee, whether working at a construction site or in an office, has a clear development path and is empowered to take initiative in their work.

The company views empowerment as crucial for enhancing team responsibility and engagement. The business believes that when placed in a suitable environment with clear support mechanisms, each individual can develop their capabilities and contribute long-term value. This approach also defines the company's human resource management, focusing on developing people rather than solely seeking existing talent.

Coteccons prioritizes building a successor team from internal human resources, while also investing in talent development for future generations. In 2025, the company is organizing the Young Talent Program 2025 with the cooperation and support of Vietnam National University, TP HCM. The program aims to identify, train, and prepare young personnel for future professional and management positions.

Alongside human resource development, the company implements a well-being strategy by establishing "The Happy Coteccons" department. This unit focuses on internal engagement activities, mental health care, and fostering a friendly work environment. The objective is to enhance employee satisfaction and work efficiency.

Over the past year, the company implemented many specific activities, such as the Happy Coffee Truck program, which served over 10,000 cups of coffee to employees nationwide; it also recorded 63 million safe working hours. The company organized 13,000 hours of occupational safety training; and over 47,000 hours of internal training through coaching, mentoring, and apprenticeship programs. The company awarded over 200 scholarships to the children of workers and implemented intensive internship programs.

Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang, Deputy General Director of Coteccons' Administration Department, stated that achieving the "great place to work" certification indicates the company is on the right track in building a sustainable, people-centric work culture. Previously, the company was honored by HR Asia as "Asia's Best Workplace" and "Outstanding Employee Care Company" in 2025. Viet Research also ranked Coteccons first in the Top 10 best workplaces in the construction industry for 2025. In 2024, the company received the Human Act Prize for its community program "Xay Tet" (Building Tet).

According to the company's assessment, continuous recognition from domestic and international organizations reflects its long-term efforts in building a corporate culture. These results also strengthen the trust of partners and customers, and help the company attract high-quality human resources in an increasingly competitive environment.

Coteccons is a construction company operating in Vietnam with 21 years of experience in construction and project management. The company has over 3,200 direct personnel involved in construction, supervision, and quality control. During peak periods, the company can mobilize approximately 40,000 workers daily at construction sites nationwide.

The company plays a central role within the Coteccons Group ecosystem. It owns all five member companies: Unicons, Covestcons, Sinh Nam, CTD Global, and UG M&E. Each unit specializes in a particular area within the construction value chain, thereby supporting the synchronous implementation of projects, quality control, and sustainable development.

Great Place to Work is a global organization dedicated to researching, evaluating, and developing workplace cultures. Established in 1992 in the US, the organization boasts over 30 years of experience. It has built a database of employee experiences based on annual surveys of over 20 million workers in more than 170 countries.

In Vietnam, Great Place to Work serves as both a certifying body and a consulting partner for businesses in the process of building people-centric organizational cultures. Through survey data and in-depth reports, this organization supports businesses in enhancing human resource management capabilities, improving the work environment, and striving for sustainable development in the context of international integration.
