The Monbay Ha Long urban area, located in Ha Long ward, Quang Ninh province, is a significant development covering 5,840 m2. Designed as a modern complex with 28 above-ground floors and three basements, reaching nearly 108 m, it integrates apartments, offices, and commercial services, emphasizing green spaces and smart urban solutions.
Monbay TV, the investor, selected Ecoba as the general contractor. This decision acknowledged Ecoba's organizational and site management capabilities, particularly in large-scale projects with high technical demands. Ecoba's commitment extends beyond timely completion to applying international technical solutions for a modern, sustainable structure.

The Monbay construction site presents unique challenges due to its location in Quang Ninh's cultural and tourism center, near the square and Quang Ninh Museum. This proximity necessitates construction methods that prioritize safety, preserve the landscape, and minimize environmental impact. Ecoba faced geological complexities, including hard coastal rock that complicated excavation and foundation treatment. Fluctuating groundwater levels, influenced by tides, impacted basement construction, while Ha Long's heavy rainfall demanded rigorous quality control. The project's exterior design, with its intricate angular details, also required high precision.
To overcome these, Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, the project director, explained that the engineering team employed rock-breaking machines alongside expanding powder and CO2 pumps for foundation treatment. They also adapted basement construction methods to tidal changes. Ecoba carefully selected construction techniques and optimized materials to ensure structural stability and aesthetic harmony with the urban environment. "Our goal is to maintain safety and progress under complex geological conditions and adverse weather," he said.

Ecoba's experience working with foreign investors has been instrumental in developing management processes aligned with international standards. Through a strategic partnership with Haseko, a major Japanese construction contractor, Ecoba adopted advanced quality management methods and construction techniques. This collaboration led to the creation of the VHPS standard set and a Quality Improvement Committee, involving Japanese experts and the Ecoba team.
At Monbay Ha Long, Ecoba implemented a four-tier acceptance process, including: project supervision, quality management specialists, chief supervisors, department heads, and quality experts. This comprehensive approach minimizes risks and errors across all project components.
Monbay also exemplifies Ecoba's 5H philosophy: safety, sustainability, comfort, quality, and health. This set of criteria was previously applied in many projects, including Mong Duong 1, 2; Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical; Long Son; Vinh Tan 4; and Lotte Mall.
Ecoba continues to integrate international standards into its quality assessment processes, conducting periodic surveys to identify areas for improvement. This aims to establish a closed-loop quality control system, ensuring the project meets current requirements and maintains long-term value. Through the Monbay Ha Long project, Ecoba reinforces its corporate strategy focused on construction quality.
