HANOI – Fuel prices in Vietnam saw a significant reduction today, with RON 95-III gasoline, a widely used type, dropping by 380 VND to 20,080 VND per liter. E5 RON 92 also experienced a decrease of 210 VND, setting its new price at 19,610 VND per liter.
The adjustments, effective from 3 PM, also extended to oil products, which saw reductions ranging from 40-250 VND per liter or kilogram compared to seven days ago. Specifically, diesel is now priced at 18,150 VND per liter, and kerosene at 18,640 VND per liter. Mazut oil also fell by 40 VND per kilogram, reaching 13,390 VND.

Looking ahead, E10 gasoline, a biofuel blended with 10% ethanol into mineral gasoline, is set for nationwide distribution starting 1/6/2026. E5 RON 92 gasoline will remain in use until the end of 2030.
Furthermore, a resolution by the National Assembly Standing Committee indicates that the environmental protection tax for 2026 will maintain levels similar to 2025. This means gasoline (excluding ethanol) will have a tax of 2,000 VND per liter, while diesel, mazut, and lubricants will be taxed at 1,000 VND per liter. Lubricating grease will incur a tax of 1,000 VND per kg, and kerosene 600 VND per liter.
