The Inter-ministerial Committee of Industry and Trade - Finance announced domestic fuel price adjustments this afternoon. RON 95-III gasoline, a popular type in the market, increased by 600 VND per liter, reaching 24,350 VND. Similarly, E5 RON 92 is now priced at 23,790 VND.
Adjustments for other oil products varied. Diesel decreased by 680 VND per liter, while mazut saw an increase of 1,150 VND per kg.
These price changes occur as the global fuel market continues to be affected by the Middle East conflict, ongoing US-Iran peace talks, and tensions in the Hormuz Strait, according to the Inter-ministerial Committee of Industry and Trade - Finance.
Regulators have continued to halt allocations to the Fuel Stabilization Fund for all fuel products.
Since late February, domestic fuel prices have undergone 20 adjustment periods. RON 95-III gasoline experienced 11 increases, 7 decreases, and remained unchanged twice. Diesel prices followed a similar pattern, with 9 increases, 9 decreases, and two periods of stable prices.
Environmental protection tax, special consumption tax, and value-added tax (VAT) on gasoline, oil, and jet fuel will remain at 0% until the end of June, as stipulated by a National Assembly Resolution.
Developing story.
