According to a joint decision by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the price of E10 RON 95-III gasoline increased by 1,290 dong, reaching 21,200 dong per liter. Similarly, E5 RON 92 gasoline saw an increase of 1,430 dong, settling at 20,780 dong per liter. Meanwhile, diesel and mazut oil prices were maintained at their previous levels.
This adjustment to domestic gasoline prices follows the Government's issuance of Resolution 34. The resolution permits the re-collection of special consumption tax on these products from 1/7. Specifically, mineral gasoline is now taxed at 10%, E5 at 8%, and E10 at 7%.
Beyond the special consumption tax, other levies such as preferential import taxes (MFN), environmental protection tax, and value-added tax (VAT) on gasoline and oil will continue to be exempted until 30/9. This extends the exemption period by three months compared to existing regulations.

During this price adjustment cycle, regulators also reinstated contributions to the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund. The contribution rate is 300 dong per liter for biofuel, and 800 dong for diesel and mazut.
Since 1/6, all RON 95-III mineral gasoline has been blended with 10% ethanol to produce E10 gasoline for market distribution. Concurrently, E5 RON 92 gasoline will continue to be available until the end of 2030.
At a seminar held on 30/6, Nguyen Thanh Nam, Deputy Director of the Domestic Market Management and Development Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, confirmed that the implementation of E10 is largely on schedule. He noted that supply remains secure and the distribution system operates stably. From 1/6 to 24/6, the country consumed approximately 850 million liters of biofuel. E10 accounted for about 800 million liters, representing 94% of the total, while E5 made up about 50 million liters.
