To maintain this growth and create momentum for the next phase, the provincial People's Committee has assigned specific targets for each area for the last six months of the year. The newly expanded Gia Lai province aims for a GRDP growth of 7.2-7.7% during the remaining period, driven by industry, construction, and services. Meanwhile, 24 specific targets have been assigned to the 58 communes and wards of the former Binh Dinh area. The remaining 77 communes and wards of the original Gia Lai province will receive their targets in July.
People's Committee Chairman Pham Anh Tuan emphasized the consistent administrative approach of breakthrough, rapid, and sustainable development, based on social security and order. The province sets a target of 7.3-7.6% GRDP growth for 2025, considering this a foundation for the Provincial Party Congress of the People's Committee and the development plan for 2026-2030.
The province has identified three strategic breakthroughs: improving institutions, developing interconnected infrastructure, and developing human resources. The five pillars of growth are processing and manufacturing industries, tourism, high-tech agriculture and sustainable forestry, port services and logistics, and urban development. Departments, sectors, and localities are required to implement tasks with the spirit of "no retreat, only action" and "no excuses, only results."

The provincial People's Committee also requested agencies to review all stalled projects to find solutions, accelerate disbursement, and prepare for the groundbreaking and inauguration of major projects on National Day, September 2nd.
Provincial Party Committee Secretary Ho Quoc Dung praised the preparation and smooth operation of the new administrative apparatus. He requested the provincial People's Committee to focus on completing the provincial planning for Gia Lai from 2025-2030, with a vision to 2050, ensuring consistency, feasibility, and regional connectivity. Agencies need to issue complete coordination regulations and new administrative procedures to synchronize the entire two-level government system.
In addition, the province will continue to address existing projects, prioritizing public works serving people in remote and disadvantaged areas. Digital transformation, e-government development, and data standardization will be promoted.
