Greenfeed inaugurates veterinary and aquaculture medicine factory in Dong Nai

Greenfeed's DonaVet factory, spanning 12,000 m2, features automated production lines for veterinary and aquaculture medicines, enhancing the company's ecosystem of sustainable livestock solutions.

On the morning of 15/5, Greenfeed Vietnam Joint Stock Company inaugurated its Viet Tho (DonaVet) factory. This facility features two separate production zones, each adhering to strict quality standards. The first zone specializes in producing beta-lactam antibiotics, operating under GMP - WHO compliant environmental control processes. The second zone focuses on non-beta-lactam products, equipped with three modern lines for injectable, oral, and powder medicines. Additionally, the areas for manufacturing nutritional supplements and disinfectants are fully automated. This technology enhances operational efficiency, minimizes errors, and precisely controls ingredient dosages in each product.

Greenfeed also invested in a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) compliant laboratory. This system rigorously tests 100% of incoming raw materials and all finished products before market release. According to a DonaVet representative, mastering laboratory control technology is foundational for ensuring product quality and optimizing livestock efficiency. A notable product from the unit is the Donacide disinfectant, which received the "Vietnamese Agricultural Golden Brand" title in 2025 due to its ability to eliminate African swine fever (ASF) virus.

In its development strategy, the new factory is tasked with providing comprehensive solutions and creating sustainable value. DonaVet is gradually shifting its product portfolio towards eco-friendly biological and microbial preparations. The unit prioritizes replacing antibiotics with herbal alternatives to limit drug residues in food and enhance natural immunity in livestock. This strategy meets the demand for clean food consumption and the stringent standards of export markets.

Currently, DonaVet has over 250 products circulating in Vietnam and exports over 60 items to countries in the region. The company aims to be among the top 3 leading suppliers of veterinary and aquaculture medicines in Vietnam by 2030. To achieve this goal, DonaVet focuses on three pillars: efficiency, safety, and sustainability throughout all production stages.

The operational launch of the DonaVet factory completes Greenfeed's comprehensive livestock solutions. Previously, the company developed models to help farmers optimize costs, operational processes, and product output. The high-tech veterinary medicine production link plays a role in protecting animal health, thereby increasing economic benefits for farmers and ensuring food quality within the group's integrated supply chain.
