FSSC 22000 is a stringent benchmark that demands closed-loop operational processes and strict risk management, according to Nguyen Nam Tran, regional manager of the Business Assurance Solutions Department at SGS Indonesia and Vietnam.
The distinguishing feature of FSSC 22000 lies in the maturity of the management system. "Through the evaluation process, we noted a high commitment from Jollibee's leadership in investing adequate resources to operate such a demanding standard in the market", Ms. Nam Tran stated.

Achieving FSSC 22000 certification marks Jollibee Vietnam's systematic quality management capability. The standardized production system ensures consistent quality for popular dishes like Jolly Crispy Chicken and Jolly Spaghetti at all stores nationwide.
"The rigorous control model, from factory to store, demonstrates compliance with core international standard requirements. This is a milestone for the company to build stronger, lasting trust with consumers through continuous improvement", an SGS representative assessed.
This certification is particularly important given the rising consumer focus on food safety. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, demand for "green-clean" products increased by an average of 15% annually between 2021 and 2023. Additionally, a Ministry of Health report from 11/2025 noted numerous food poisoning incidents across the country. Ms. Nguyen Nam Tran emphasized, "Food safety standards are no longer an option, but a mandatory requirement for businesses to control risks and enhance reputation for sustainable market presence."

FSSC 22000 is a globally recognized food safety management standard, meeting the requirements of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Independent assessment bodies like SGS issue this certification, confirming that a company has established a stringent quality control system, from raw material input to production and distribution.
Unlike mandatory domestic certifications, FSSC 22000 is a voluntary standard with high international value. It helps businesses enhance their reputation, ensure quality consistency, and meet global market demands. Prior to this, in 2019, the Jollibee factory also obtained ISO 22000:2018 certification.
