Keppel, in collaboration with Tien Phong newspaper, organized the "Bytes for Future" program on 11/9. The event took place at Son Dong Primary School (Song Phuong Primary campus) and Van Canh Primary & Secondary School (Van Canh Secondary campus) in Son Dong commune, Hanoi.

The initiative provided 55 computers, 90 headphones, and two smart televisions to over 2,300 students at the two schools. This significant donation aims to improve teaching and learning conditions, while also expanding opportunities for students to access technology and develop essential digital skills for the future.

At the event, Nguyen Duy Cuong, deputy chief of staff of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation and People's Council, former vice chairman of Son Dong commune People's Committee, highlighted the program's impact. He stated that 'Bytes for Future' not only helps Son Dong students overcome technological barriers and access modern knowledge but also creates a foundation for local educational development.

Current access to learning technology at both schools remains limited. Some classes have two to four students sharing one computer, and many devices are old, with insufficient presentation equipment for teaching.

Addressing this situation, Nguyen Manh Hanh, principal of Son Dong Primary School, shared, "These practical gifts and moral support have helped overcome difficulties, creating more favorable conditions for the school's teachers and students in teaching and learning, especially in accessing information technology – a crucial field in the digital age."

Le Duc Thuan, principal of Van Canh Primary and Secondary School, stated that amid strong digital transformation, information technology has become an important part of teaching and learning. "We highly appreciate the message conveyed by the program: it gives students not just computers, but also opportunities to learn, explore, and thrive," Thuan said.

Representing Keppel, Joseph Low, Keppel's country head in Vietnam and president of Keppel Vietnam Properties, explained that digital transformation and artificial intelligence are changing many industries and opening new opportunities, making digital skills increasingly vital for the younger generation. Through the 'Bytes for Future' program, the company aims to equip students with the skills and confidence needed to participate and maintain an advantage in an economy increasingly shaped by technology.

Keppel launched the "Bytes for Future" program (Knowledge Machine) in 2024. After three years of implementation, the company has donated nearly 200 computers to over 4,400 students in Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, and Hanoi.
