NCB recently announced its Board of Directors' resolution approving the proposed list of professional investors for a private offering of nearly one billion shares. This initiative aims to increase the bank's charter capital by an additional 10 trillion VND. The offering attracted 22 professional investors, comprising 20 individuals and two institutional investors.
Notably, several senior leaders of the bank have registered to acquire shares in this issuance. Bui Thi Thanh Huong, chairwoman of the board of directors, and Duong The Bang, a board member, who became NCB shareholders in the 2024 private placement, are continuing to purchase more shares. Additionally, Hoang Thu Trang, vice chairwoman of the board of directors; Pham Thi Hien, deputy head of the supervisory board; and Nguyen Viet Son, a supervisory board member, have also registered to contribute capital.
According to a bank representative, the participation of senior leadership in purchasing shares demonstrates their long-term commitment to NCB's development strategy in this new phase.
The registration list also shows that many existing shareholders intend to acquire more NCB shares. The bank stated that this reflects investor confidence in NCB's ongoing restructuring process and its upcoming development plans.

NCB's plan to increase its charter capital by 10 trillion VND had previously received approval from the State Bank of Vietnam and the General Shareholders' Meeting. Upon completion of this offering, the bank's charter capital will rise from 19.28 trillion VND to over 29.28 trillion VND. This achievement will allow NCB to finalize its capital increase three years ahead of the schedule outlined in the Restructuring Plan (PACCL) approved by competent authorities.
According to the plan, all funds raised will supplement capital for credit granting activities, supporting the production, business, and consumption needs of corporate and individual customers during the 2026-2027 period.
This is NCB's fourth consecutive capital increase within the 2022-2026 period. An NCB representative highlighted that this rapid capital increase is an important factor in strengthening NCB's financial resources, ensuring healthy and efficient operations, and achieving its ambitious goals.

NCB is currently entering an acceleration phase after nearly five years of restructuring. As of 31/3, the bank's total assets reached nearly 173.504 trillion VND, a 6% increase compared to the end of 2025. Customer loan balances exceeded 116.876 trillion VND, representing a 20% increase, while total capital mobilization reached nearly 139.110 trillion VND, an increase of approximately 6%.
Compared to its 2026 plan, NCB has achieved 91% of its total assets target, 89% of its customer loan plan, and 88% of its capital mobilization plan. By the end of the first three months of the year, NCB's pre-tax profit reached over 216 billion VND, a 43% increase over the same period last year. NCB is committed to utilizing all profits to follow the PACCL roadmap, aiming for early completion of the PACCL and fostering sustainable development.
The bank representative expects that completing the charter capital increase to 29.28 trillion VND this year, ahead of the PACCL schedule, will enhance NCB's financial strength, increase its competitiveness, and create an important foundation for a breakthrough transformation in the upcoming development phase.
