MB reports that 1.9 million small businesses, representing over 36% of the nation's 5.2 million, use its digital payment services. mSeller users alone increased by 33% compared to 15,000 at the end of last year.
Vu Hong Phu, a representative of MB, attributes this growth to specialized solutions for small businesses, particularly given Decree 70 requiring electronic invoicing and tax declarations from July 1st.
Supporting small businesses
MB has developed a "Comprehensive Toolkit" encompassing point-of-sale software, smart payment speakers, VietQR payment solutions, and other utilities. This toolkit helps businesses comply with electronic invoicing and tax regulations while improving revenue management and optimizing operating costs.
The mSeller point-of-sale software application tracks revenue, facilitates dynamic QR payments, issues electronic invoices, synchronizes sales data, and assists with tax declarations. This helps businesses save costs, integrate systems, and simplify procedures. Automated sales data synchronization supports tax declarations and settlements, ensuring legal compliance and optimized operations.
Within this toolkit, MB also offers smart payment speakers. With a single device, business owners receive instant voice notifications of incoming payments and manage revenue and issue electronic invoices directly within the MBBank app, eliminating the need to switch platforms.
Invoices can be sent directly to customers via email or Zalo, or saved for later use, promoting transparency and simplifying interactions with customers and tax authorities.

The bank's representative described the integration of invoicing features into the MB Payment Speaker as a significant step in their digital ecosystem. This benefits small business owners accustomed to simple operations, prioritizing convenience, and beginning to adopt digitalization.
Financial solutions for small businesses
Beyond supporting compliance with Decree 70, MB provides additional solutions: weather insurance based on rainfall, 7-day interest-free loans, and VietQR payment solutions with special offers including premium account numbers.
The weather insurance product suits various individuals, particularly small business owners, drivers, and delivery personnel whose incomes are directly affected by bad weather and reduced orders.
Specifically, when rainfall exceeds the agreed threshold, customers automatically receive compensation up to 15 million VND without submitting any claims, offsetting income lost due to heavy rain.
In addition to weather insurance, MB offers 7-day interest-free loans of up to 100 million VND, easing financial pressures during the initial stages of capital utilization. The entire application and limit check process is online via the MBBank app, saving time and streamlining procedures.
VietQR facilitates faster, more convenient, and easier daily business transactions. The bank has also established a technical support group on Zalo to provide ongoing assistance for smooth operation.
MB's strategy for small business digitalization goes beyond individual payment tools or financial solutions. It's about building a comprehensive ecosystem: from revenue management and electronic invoicing to tax declarations, risk insurance, and flexible access to capital. The goal is to help millions of potential businesses transition to a digital environment, comply with regulations, improve productivity, and expand business opportunities.
