On 7/8/2025, the Hue City People's Committee (UBND) issued a decision regarding land subdivision and consolidation for residential and agricultural land across 40 communes and wards.
For residential land in city wards (Thuan An, My Thuong, Vy Da, Thuan Hoa, An Cuu, Thuy Xuan, Kim Long, Huong An, Phu Xuan, Hoa Chau, and Duong No), the minimum plot size after subdivision is 60 m2. These regulations are consistent with those established 4 years ago.

In other wards and communes following administrative boundary adjustments, the minimum plot size after subdivision is 80 m2 and 100 m2, respectively. In Long Quang, Nam Dong, and A Luoi 1, 3, 4, and 5 communes, the minimum is 120 m2.
The frontage, parallel to any road less than 19 m wide, must be at least 4 m. For roads 19 m or wider, the frontage must be at least 5 m. The plot depth after subdivision must be greater than or equal to 5 m.
Similarly, subdivided agricultural land must also meet minimum size requirements. For annual crops (excluding rice), aquaculture, livestock farming, and newly formed plots from subdivision, the minimum area is 200 m2 in city wards like Thuan An, Vy Da, An Cuu, and Thuy Xuan.
The minimum area is 300 m2 in Huong Tra, Kim Tra, Thanh Thuy, Huong Thuy, Phu Bai, Phong Dien, Phong Thai, Phong Dinh, and Phong Phu wards, and Phu Vang, Hung Loc, Phu Loc, Chan May - Lang Co, Khe Tre, and A Luoi 2 communes.
In Phong Quang ward and Dan Dien, Quang Dien, Phu Vinh, Phu Ho, Vinh Loc, Loc An, and Binh Dien communes, the minimum subdivided plot size is 400 m2. In Long Quang, Nam Dong, and A Luoi 1, 3, 4, and 5 communes, it's 500 m2.
These minimum plot sizes are doubled for perennial crops and other agricultural land in both pre- and post-administrative boundary adjustment wards and communes. For forestry land, the minimum subdivided area is 5,000 m2.
