A Microsoft representative praised MISA's approach, considering it a pioneering model for leveraging AI's power comprehensively across software development.
According to a MISA representative, AI Agent has fundamentally transformed software development. Previously, AI primarily supported specific stages, such as suggesting code or debugging, with humans remaining central to product completion. However, by implementing AI programming tools, MISA has elevated AI to a new role: automating the entire programming process.
Specifically, AI can participate throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from outlining business requirements and automatically building detailed specification documents to writing code and testing for errors.
The key highlight is that programmers no longer need to write every line of code directly. Instead, they only need to describe the problem, business function, or desired feature, and AI handles the rest to create a complete product.
This shift marks a significant advancement: AI is no longer just a programming assistant but has become an "Agent" — a digital entity capable of autonomous programming operations.
By fully adopting Agentic Coding, MISA aims to increase product productivity and quality by 10 times. Time-consuming stages such as business analysis, solution design, programming, automated testing, and system integration and deployment are now handled by AI agents, which helps minimize errors and enhance consistency.
Simultaneously, the role of software engineers is elevated, shifting from "code writers" to "solution designers and AI coordinators," focusing on system thinking and value creation.
In parallel with technology implementation, MISA has updated its entire software development process to align with an AI-First and Agentic Coding approach. AI is integrated into every stage of the product lifecycle. As a result, the time-to-market for products has been shortened from an average of 6 months to one or two months.
This change is expected to help the company accelerate innovation, meet customer demands, and address emerging needs. According to the company, this direction aligns with a customer-centric approach in its research and development activities.
The expanded collaboration with Microsoft and the widespread deployment of GitHub Copilot are considered a step in MISA's AI application roadmap.
