On 15/5, at Vietnam Television (VTV) headquarters, MobiFone Digital Services Center and the Center for Digital Platforms and Services (VTV Digital) signed a cooperation agreement to deploy VTVgo services across the mobile network. Lieutenant Colonel Bui Son Nam, Deputy General Director of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation, and Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, along with leaders from related units, attended the signing ceremony. Both parties committed to leveraging available resources to expand official content coverage and optimize the effective utilization of digital infrastructure.

Under the agreement, MobiFone and VTV Digital will collaborate to research and implement dedicated service packages for mobile subscribers on the VTVgo platform. Users can directly pay for services through their mobile subscriber accounts, simplifying access to high-quality content. Additionally, both parties aim to develop services like VTVgo Plus and integrate public services directly onto the VTVgo platform to enhance user convenience.
The initial phase of the partnership centers on the VTVgo World Cup 2026 package. Through MobiFone's mobile network, tens of millions of subscribers will have the opportunity to watch all 104 matches of the world's largest football tournament with official broadcasting rights. This collaboration ensures a seamless, stable viewing experience on handheld devices, meeting fans' entertainment needs anytime, anywhere, especially as 5G technology becomes popular.

Mr. Pham Van Chien, Director of VTV Digital, noted that connecting the two large ecosystems helps leverage each party's strengths. VTV possesses a massive digital content library with tens of millions of users, while MobiFone excels in telecommunications infrastructure and technology. According to Mr. Chien, this partnership will address the strong shift of audiences towards digital platforms, Smart TVs, and personal mobile devices.

From MobiFone's perspective, Mr. Nguyen Mau Khue, Deputy Director in charge of the Digital Services Center, stated that the agreement will open many opportunities for developing co-branded products in the future. "This agreement will lead to further cooperation between the two entities. Both sides will share and effectively utilize digital infrastructure, content, and the digital ecosystem to research and introduce new co-branded products, aiming to elevate customer experience to a higher level," Mr. Khue affirmed.
The solutions resulting from this partnership are expected to not only bring direct benefits to consumers but also motivate telecommunications and television businesses to coordinate more effectively in the digital era.
