Under the plan, the parties will deploy a fleet through direct investment and long-term leasing. This fleet includes VinFast VF 5, Herio Green, and Limo Green models, all optimized for tech-based passenger transport services. Green SM views the Philippines as a key market in its expansion strategy. In its initial phase, the company partnered with Xentro Group to deploy 2,500 vehicles.
Green SM's operational model involves providing vehicles, technology platforms, and service standards, while local partners manage fleet operations and driver management. This approach ensures service quality, safety standards, and user experience, allowing for adaptation to specific market conditions. The model also optimizes scalability, facilitating the transition to pure electric vehicles.
Gio Colmenares, General Director of Asia Prime Force Corporation, a Green SM partner in the Philippines, stated that the cooperation agreement reflects a shift in the transport industry. "Green SM's platform provides a structured approach to electric vehicle deployment, combining operational clarity with long-term growth potential. This is an opportunity in the Philippines and part of the transformation of urban transport systems across Southeast Asia," he said.
Rachel Ann Villanueva, Chairperson of Green Will Corporation, noted that expanding pure electric mobility requires coordinated efforts among vehicles, infrastructure, and operations. She emphasized that ecosystem components can collectively drive large-scale implementation. "We see clear potential for this model to accelerate the transition in the Philippines and the region," she said.
Nguyen Van Thanh, GSM Global General Director, observed that the electric mobility trend is gaining momentum in major cities worldwide, with Southeast Asia being a dynamic region in this process. "Large-scale deployment requires technology and synchronized operational models across various markets, along with flexibility to local conditions. Through its platform and cooperation model, Green SM aims to promote sustainable, practical electrified mobility while maintaining consistent service standards throughout the system," he said.
Following the signing ceremony, Green SM's partners are expected to finalize orders and commence phased operations this year.
