Following a pilot phase starting in 2025, Napa signed an agreement to deploy Brightpick's technology at a new facility, according to a press release on 18/2. The company expects to operate more than 100 robots at this location, with potential expansion to other warehouses in the future.

"Brightpick's expertise in warehouse automation will help optimize processing, replenishment operations, and overall system performance, meeting the growing demand for fast and reliable parts delivery," said Justin Ducharme, executive vice president of distribution and logistics at Napa.
Under the plan, Brightpick will customize its goods-to-person robots to operate effectively within Napa's warehouse environment. Additionally, Brightpick will integrate its automation system with Napa's existing technologies.
Both companies anticipate that the robots will become a critical component in maintaining service quality and operational efficiency across Napa's warehouses. This automation technology is expected to support faster order processing, improve accuracy, and increase throughput for the store network.
Napa currently operates approximately 6,000 parts stores and more than 16,000 automotive repair and collision centers across the US, according to LinkedIn. This extensive system is supported by a nationwide network of distribution centers, which stock around 800,000 items including parts, accessories, and supplies.
